Kevin Shortt

Clinic Owner and Physiotherapist

Kevin is a high-energy enthusiastic individual that brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Kensington Physiotherapy.  He opened Kensington Physiotherapy in 2006 to provide quality rehabilitation services for the residents of Central PEI. Since graduating from the University of Western Ontario with a Bachelor of Science Physiotherapy degree in 1999, Kevin has been working in private practice helping patients recover from their various aches, pains, and orthopedic conditions.  Kevin has a passion for helping people and learning. He has taken over 50 post-graduate courses such as acupuncture, McKenzie, Myofascial Release and Mullligan just to highlight a few. He takes pride in providing his patients with the most effective and efficient physio therapy treatment incorporating manual therapy, myofascial release and electro-acupuncture. When not working at the clinic, Kevin enjoys spending time with his family, running and playing baseball.

Alexandre Cuffley-Hebert

Physiotherapist

Alex is our first bilingual physiotherapist.  Born and raised in Charlottetown P.E.I., Alex attended the University of Moncton, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology in 2017.   After graduating Ottawa University with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, Alex joined the Kensington Physiotherapy rehabilitation team in 2019.  Alex’s enthusiasm and dedication to his craft are infectious. He gives 100% to meet the needs of his patients. Alex has a special interest in sports injury management and work related injury.  Manual therapy techniques, specialized exercise and pain management education are just some of the tools Alex uses to help our patients. In his spare time, Alex enjoys playing hockey, spending time on the golf course and cycling on the confederation trail.

Diane Shortt

Physiotherapy Assistant

Diane graduated from Ottawa University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy.  Diane practiced as a physiotherapist for 3 years before taking a leave to become a stay at home Mom.  In 2012, Diane began working at Kensington Physiotherapy as our clinic manager and part-time physiotherapy assistant.  She loves working with our patients and helping them achieve their treatment goals. When at home, Diane enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, reading books and playing with Bentley, the family dog.

Jeanne Gallant

Client Care Coordinator

Jeanne was born and raised in Summerside, PEI.  Jeanne has worked in various customer service positions over the years.  In 2016, she graduated from the Legal Administration program at Holland College before joining Kensington Physiotherapy as our Client Care Coordinator in 2018.   Her cheerful personality and passion for meeting new people makes her well suited for her role at our clinic. Jeanne works diligently with our therapists and patients to ensure our clinic provides awesome customer service every day.  She loves greeting patients, scheduling and assisting our patients in any way she can to ensure every visit to Kensington Physio is a stress free enjoyable experience.

Kim Brown

Physiotherapy Assistant

Since moving to PEI from her hometown in Blind River Ontario, Kim has been a great addition to the Kensington Physiotherapy team. With two degrees; one degree in Fitness and Health Promotion and the other degree in Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Assistant, Kim is very educated and knowledgeable in the rehabilitation field. She loves working “hands on” with our patients whether it’s applying modalities or reviewing exercises. With her positive demeanor and joking ways, patients enjoy working with Kim to achieve their rehabilitation goals. In her spare time, Kim enjoys making soap, walking her dog and spending time with her husband.

Philip Somerfield

Licensed Podiatrist

Philip graduated from the Chelsea School of Chiropody (Podiatry) in 1986 and has worked as a podiatrist for over 33 years in England, Manitoba, Ontario and Atlantic Canada.  As a Member of the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine, Philip takes great pride in helping people of all ages with their foot care needs. What can we say, he loves feet!   Philip recently joined the Kensington Physiotherapy team and is happy to be providing affordable footcare solutions for the residents of Summerside, Central and Western PEI.
